Pigdown Pottery is a Ceramic studio based in Hever, Kent. It is a well lit and spacious studio where students can develop their skills and understanding of clay as a medium with like minded potters. We focus on wheel throwing and hand building techniques suitable for all abilities and our sessions are inclusive.
We also offer a day pass program whereby students that have a good understanding of clay have access to the studio external on specific days. They will have access to studio clay and a variety of glazes. Firing is done by technicians not by the students or members.
We fire free of charge to stoneware temperatures, however if a specialised firing is required a fee is applicable.
We have 6 wheels for throwers and a big table for hand builders with lots of shelves for storage. Dedicated shelves will be applied to members to store their projects and wares.
